Vim is a vi clone with many very useful extensions, among them multiple undo, a better scripting language and a very flexible and useful syntax highlighting feature. In fact, whenever I edit some file several times, I usually write a short coloring file to make it easier to read those files.

This page includes some pointers to syntax highlighting files and other useful macros and scripts I maintain plus a few pointers to other vim pages and a description about the configuration I am using on my Linux and AIX installations.
